What Is GHK-Cu?
GHK-Cu is a complex formed when the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine binds a copper ion.
GHK occurs naturally in human plasma and tissues and has been studied for its role in copper transport, cellular signaling, and extracellular-matrix regulation. Research involving cultured cells and animal models has examined collagen production, vascular signaling, antioxidant pathways, and wound-related tissue responses.
GHK-Cu is also used in some topical cosmetic formulations, but evidence concerning topical products should not be generalized to injectable or systemic formulations.
