What Is PE-22-28?
PE-22-28 is a shortened analogue developed from spadin, a peptide associated with the sortilin pathway. Laboratory research has identified PE-22-28 as an inhibitor of TREK-1, a two-pore-domain potassium channel involved in regulating neuronal electrical activity.
Published studies have examined its receptor affinity and behavioral effects in preclinical models, including animal experiments related to mood and neurogenesis. These findings remain preliminary and cannot be assumed to predict safety or clinical outcomes in humans.
